Fed Lifts Funds Rate to 4% In 12th Straight Increase
The Federal Reserve raised interest rates lifting the key federal-funds rate by a quarter percentage point to 4%, as evidence grows that the central bank intends to slow the economy down to prevent inflation from rising.
